Puppies

Did you know that puppies should receive vaccinations beginning at 6-8 weeks and then boostered every 3-4 weeks until 16 weeks old?  Many new puppy owners are unaware that although their puppy received vaccinations from the shelter or breeder, the series may not have been complete and therefore are not fully protected.

New puppy owners also need to consider where they will be taking their new family member.  Are you going to be around another dog, even once?  Better make sure that he or she has received a Bordatella vaccine.

All puppies need to be dewormed multiple times.  Many of the intestinal parasites that puppies have can be transmitted to you and your children.  It is very important that a stool sample is checked  throughout their puppy vaccination series and that a dewormer is given.
